Camping in the living room.

Posted by Allison on December 23, 2010

During Christmas holidays you have to entertain yourself.  Especially when you’ve been sick for 2 weeks.  Mr. Magoo has taken to building a tent in the living room.

We’ve been baking the last 2 days.  Not much as the illness has knocked me out but yesterday I did some buttertart bars, fudge and almond cookies.  Here’s is my baking helper stirring the buttertart mixture…..for the 2 seconds he ‘helped’ me.

Oh and all these years I thought Roxie Roller was some sort of superstar with the fudge…I take it back, it’s sooooo easy!  To be fair the only reason I tried making it this year is because I missed her Christmas baking so much!  So I found a fudge recipe with 3 ingredients and takes 3 minutes at the best recipe site on the planet.  Seriously, this fudge recipe is AMAZING!

We’re missing the baking this year too! With the house not selling until December, then the packing extravanganza, and the big move happening the 29th, there just isn’t enough time to get it all done. I made magic bars and fudge yesterday, and the boys and I will do some sugar cookies today. It’s a weird Christmas with all that’s going on, but it’s still a beautiful time of year!

Hopefully we can chat soon! Glad you’re feeling better! Miss you tons and love to all!!

I made fudge today too! It did NOT take 3 minutes. I’ll have to try your recipe next time.

    Merry Christmas!

oh if you wanted easy fudge you shoulda said something.. remember the fudge Mr Magoo brought home at either christmas or maybe fathers day when he was in my class? microwave and like 3-5 ingredients. So easy the kids could make it. I make it every year now just switch up what kind of chips I use.
