Sock yarn frenzy.

Posted by Allison on August 1, 2008

Oops.  I have a balance in my paypal account. This is never a good thing.  So I go on Etsy, you know, just to look around.  I am now the proud owner of 5 skeins of sock yarn. I don’t even really remember buying it. It’s all a haze.  I think that A&E’s  intervention hasn’t touched on sock yarn addiction to any extent but I’d be willing to bet that it’s a world wide epidemic.  Funny, there’s still a balance in my paypal account and it does take soooo long to transfer to the bank. It would be a shame to just leave it there….must run.

    I’m picturing you on Intervention:

They interview your family, who all agree that they love you, but fear that your addiction may be killing you…

Meanwhile, the voice-over announcer is talking numbers…”Last year, Allison spent XYZ dollars on sock yarn”

The only thing missing would be you showing any remorse.

You know, I could probably FAKE remorse. It’s like when you pretend to care what others are saying when you’re really thinking about knitting right, same area of the brain?

    The knitpurllobe.

And go! Spend! No good can come of having extra money! If idle hands are the devil’s workshop and money is the root of all evil, idle money has to be one big mamma-jamma hell thing you don’t want in your life.
