Heidelberg Germany!

After MONTHS of searching and many bitter disappointments we are heading to Germany!  The funny thing is this is a job that DH applied for in December and we assumed he didn’t get!  Not only will he be teaching the subjects that he loves but the kids will be attending the International School as well and getting a hell of an education!  We are hoping to be out of here in a little over 2 months.  Yep.  Two months to sell everything we own, move to a foreign country and NOT go insane along the way.  Should be interesting.

    Thanks! We are thrilled. I’ll be more thrilled in September after we are settled and the kids are in school and i can look back and go ‘well THAT was crazy!’

    Hi Allison,
    I really enjoy reading your blog. Congratulations on moving your family to Germany.

    I’m curious about the International School. My wife is a teacher, and we’ve talked about trying to move overseas where she would be able to teach at an IS. I’m wondering if you can elaborate on the application process a little bit. Did you go through an agency or a job fair or just apply directly to the school?
